VALERIE YONG-XU DOWNING

Valerie Downing is a DMV-based multimedia artist. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Maryland, majoring in art history and visual arts with a concentration in studio art. She has extensive experience working with studio art media such as pencil, pen, acrylic paints,  oil paints, watercolor, and gouache. Her art has been featured in several exhibitions such as the 'Familiar Strangers' exhibition at Loyola University Maryland. Valerie has experience painting still lifes, landscapes, and animals but she has always been drawn to the art of portraiture. She has a passion for working together with patrons to create lovely and meaningful pieces, whether they be portraits, still life, or landscape painting.
